ARPA.NET provides DNS and e-mail forwarding services for its friends.
We are not the original ARPANET, which was decommissioned in 1990 after the original organization evolved into the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency. We remember it fondly, however, and have styled the ARPA.NET domain in the spirit of the old ARPANET.
We are pleased to announce that host NS0.ARPA.NET reached 1000 days of continuous uptime on 20 May 2001.
Special note to anti-spammers: it is extremely unlikely that we have anything to do with any spam you have received. Any host name you see than ends with in-addr.arpa is just the result of someone's misconfigured DNS, and you should do a lookup on the IP address using the ARIN whois page to find out who the responsible party is.
